Robert Seaberg, 77, formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, in Dover, Del. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edith Burk and Melvin Seaberg in 1943.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1965-68. Robert then worked for the state of Delaware from 1968 until 2003. He served as the Director of Base Technology in the Office of Information Services. While working for the state, he received his Associate in Arts from Wesley College (1978), BSBA from Wesley (1982) and MBA from Wilmington College in 1984. He also served as an adjunct professor at Wilmington University, where he was an instructor in business and computer curriculum.

Robert was also very involved in his community. He joined the Del-One (Delaware) Federal Credit Union Board of Directors in 1987 and served as chairman of the board from 1993 to 2010. Robert served as the president of the Silly State Golf League, was past president for various bowling leagues, was past president, manager and coach with the Camden-Wyoming Little League and volunteered with various charity fundraisers.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Seaberg.

Robert was a beloved husband to his wife of 27 years, Anna; and a devoted father to his children: Dana Seaberg and David Seaberg, who survive him. He is also survived by his stepfather, Sheldon Burk of Duncansville.

Due to COVID-19, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
